Harvest 2005 |
At Domaine de la Chambarde, the picking commenced on the 14th of September and finished on the 22nd of September this year. 9 nationalities participated in the harvest. (British, Belgian, Slovac, Spanish, Venezuelan, Chinese, Indian, Canadian and French).

The grape harvest is entirely manual. The pickers have a bucket and shears to cut the bunches of grapes. When the buckets are full, they are emptied into large baskets carried on the backs of collectors, these are then emptied into a vat on the trailer behind the tractor.
The vats are then emptied into the tanks for the fermentation. |

Your Beaujolais Nouveau 2005 will be the best, because it is the fruit of the labours of the pickers from 9 countries ". Céline, Belgian student : "It pleases us to read that you are content with the grapes this year... We have passed a super grape harvest at your vineyard... thank you.... " |
